Corporate and M&A seminar: Secrets to successful Joint Ventures

Both the Labour and Immigration Law and the Corporate and M&A Commissions are delighted to welcome you to beautiful Turin for an exciting double seminar!

Turin, first founded by the Romans as a military colony called Augusta Taurinorum (and which became the capital of the Duchy of Savoy, then later the Kingdom of Sardinia, and finally the first capital of the Kingdom of Italy), developed in the 20th century into an industrial location specialising in the automotive sector and design. Turin hosted the 2006 Olympic Winters Games and, today, tourism, new technologies and contemporary art are prominent and the city has one of the largest collections of Egyptian artefacts. Surrounded by the Alps and close to the Region of Langhe e Roero (the home of Barolo wine and truffles), Turin offers culture, wonderful food, green areas and large squares, in a dynamic social and economic context in which business and work have always been the heart of city life.

The Labour and Immigration Law Commission is delighted to continue the tradition of the Annual Labour and Immigration Law Conference! Since the Commission’s annual seminar has turned into a traditional event in October, last year it was renamed: the Labour and Immigration Law Annual Conference. Once more, this seminar will be packed with exciting news and ‘hot’ topics concerning labour, employment and immigration law. The programme offers sessions where legal practitioners and business specialists from all over the world will speak about a number of subjects including: digital change in the working world, how social media affects employees and businesses, issues to consider with employee surveillance, implementing flexible working, and how to guarantee employees’ mobility.

Joint ventures are like marriages: half of them fail… The Corporate and M&A Commission will guide you through the various possible steps in the life of a joint venture, going from ‘prenup’ to exit. In addition to the corporate aspects, we will also cover topics that are specifically relevant to joint ventures, including competition and intellectual property issues. Together with high-profile external speakers, we will reveal the secrets to successful joint ventures and give you the key insights to help ensure your clients ‘live happily ever after’.
